Managing Member
Aaron Freeman
Aaron helps clients pursue their financial dreams with the same integrity and passion he once displayed while serving his country as a decorated member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Aaron helps clients pursue their financial dreams with the same integrity and passion he once displayed while serving his country as a decorated member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Aaron began his financial services career at Oak River Financial Group in 2004, four years after he was honorably discharged from the Marines due to injury. He became Oak River’s president and CEO in the spring of 2011 when he purchased the firm from his father, Gary. In 2023, Aaron and his wife Nichol, rebranded Oak River Financial Group to what the company is known today as Freeman & Freeman Private Wealth Management.
An Investment Adviser Representative and licensed insurance agent in Texas, Aaron holds the Chartered Financial Consultant designation and is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He was presented NAIFA’s 2010 “Rising Star” Award.
A is native of southeast Texas. He was the honor graduate of his U.S. Marine Corps recruiting class and was meritoriously promoted twice. He also was honored with the Leatherneck Award, presented for outstanding achievement during recruit training.
When he isn’t helping clients, Aaron cherishes spending time with his family. He also is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and bass fishing, and is a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Houston Safari Club and B.A.S.S.

Nichol Freeman
Nichol relishes cultivating long-standing relationships and has a heart for helping her clients prepare for life’s unforeseen challenges.

As an a managing member of Freeman & Freeman, Nichol plays a key role in helping deliver exceptional client experiences. Using an empathetic approach, she is passionate about helping clients — especially single mothers and families with disabilities — navigate major life changes such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, retirement and career change.
Nichol is an Investment Adviser Representative and licensed insurance agent. She is responsible for facilitating regular client outreach, planning client events, producing quarterly performance updates and other communications as well as many essential regulatory and compliance functions as Freeman & Freeman’s Chief Compliance Officer.
Before entering the financial services industry, Nichol spent the majority of her career in the oil and gas industry. Her roles included project manager for several oil and gas operators, vice president of operations for Gulf Blend Resources and president of Schaefer Oilfield Services. Nichol spent more than a decade managing complex projects ranging from $50 million – $100 million.
Born and raised in Texas. Nichol received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas @ Arlington. She currently resides in Montgomery, Texas, with her husband, Aaron, and her two sons.
A fitness fanatic, Nichol enjoys spending time outdoors with her boys or in the mountains hunting with her husband. She is a member of the Texas Trophy Hunters Association and a lifetime member of the Houston Safari Club.
